Finishing Wall Installer

ROLE AND COMPANY DESCRIPTION

As one of our Finishing Wall Installers, you will assist in the completion of wall construction through required skills and assigned tasks, such as hanging and taping sheet rock, paneling, and prefinished panels.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Verifies wall installation quality control.
• Verifies layout and materials for jobs.
• Coordinates the stocking of materials when appropriate.
• Installs trim and accessories to specification.
• Ensures materials and tools are available for upcoming jobs.
• Ensures that tools and equipment are properly maintained.
• Monitors staffing needs and works with Finish Supervisor to adjust staffing.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
• Ensures the proper training of crew members.
• Maintains quality and safety standards.
• Coordinates activities with other crew leaders.
• Use of construction tools such as table saws, chop saws, and sanders.
• Must be physically able to stand, walk, sit, stoop, and reach.
• Must be physically able to push, pull, maneuver, and carry items.
• Must be physically able to llift <60 lbs.
• Continuous mental and/or visual attention is required. Repetitive or diversified work will require constant
  alertness to surrounding areas and the tasks at hand.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Requirements include:

• Two or more years of construction and finishing experience.
• The ability to read a tape measurer and have basic knowledge of construction tools.
• A commitment to the achievement of personal and company goals.
• The ability to follow detailed plans.
• Detail-oriented.
• Critical problem-solving skills.
• Strong work ethic.
• Self-motivator.
• The ability to read a blueprint is preferred.
