Description

Manages the electrical installation and maintenance for all electrical aspects of Modern's mobile and modular buildings

Essential Duties

  • Supervises electrical installations per Oregon, Washington and California rules and laws
  • Responsible for securing electrical permits and conducting electrical inspections
  • Supervises employees in the Electrical Department
  • Supervises site electrical installations, electrical design projects
  • Oversees Master Plant electrical permit
  • Provides electrical information/functions as a resource for electrical issues
  • Keeps current on NEC code and new electrical products
  • Interacts with all of management/sales
  • Manages TAKT Time schedule for Electrical Department
  • Manages lease fleet remodels and hot tests of buildings
  • Maintains electrical function in the plant, office and industrial buildings
  • Oversees plant electrical safety, including lock out/tag out
  • Provides electrical estimates; electrical material take-off from plans and specs
  • Purchases electrical stock materials, and tracks electrical inventory items
  • Collects O & M's from electrical equipment installed per project

Minimal Qualifications

  • Oregon License - Electrical Supervisor
  • Washington Electrical Administrators License
  • Five years of experience in Manufacturing /Industrial/Commercial construction
  • Knowledge of construction hand/power tools and skills in all phases of construction
  • Able to read blueprints and provide electrical spec sheets per project
  • Ability to read a tape measure
  • Ability to climb ladders of various heights
  • Ability to lift, push, pull or carry heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time, performing strenuous physical labor
  • Ability to work near moving mechanical parts, often surrounded by loud noise levels
  • Ability to understand, follow, and transmit written/oral instructions
  • Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
  • Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
  • Ability to use equipment and hand tools/power tools properly and safely 

Prefered Qualifications

  • Knowledge of first aid and applicable safety precautions
  • Possess or have ability to obtain a valid applicable state driver's license
