DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Daily communication and coordination with all parties involved in the project (i.e. subcontractors, design, material suppliers, owners, clients, etc.)
  • Daily detailed logs and photo updates on project sites
  • Conducts regular daily job site observations to ensure that construction of assigned projects are in conformance with the plans, specifications, and other contract documents
  • Maintains current working knowledge of all applicable building codes and OSHA job safety regulations and ensure they are implemented
  • Inspects and ensures that work is completed in compliance with City/County/State requirements and building codes; schedules inspections
  • Strong leadership and management abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of organization and multi-tasking skills
  • Purchases project site materials when needed
  • Issue project field change orders when needed
  • Project planning: generate a scope of work forbidding, project schedules, maintain budgets, material takeoffs
  • Manage workforce on sites
  • Create simple design drawings (floor plans, elevations with general details, and notes)
  • Update changes to the drawings for the field
  • Travel to multiple worksites - (This job is 50% out of town travel with occasional overnights)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Four years in commercial construction management with two years of hands-on construction experience
• Valid driver’s license and ability to be insured

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

• Proactive management style and a self-starter

• Must have the ability to multitask and prioritize work assignments and have excellent customer service skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office with exceptional written, and oral communication capabilities

• Must have the ability to travel to multiple site locations, with occasional overnight stays
