The building is permanently installed on a concrete stem wall foundation and the utility infrastructure allows for planned future building additions during phase two and three of the expansion.
The roof system was site installed to allow for different roof lines. An appealing exterior look was achieved by combining a dark colored lap siding with a lighter cement board panel.
To integrate the facility with other existing structures on the campus, Modern Building Systems incorporated all landscaping and side walks into their initial design and installed covered walkways, thus connecting the new building to the main school building.
The interior of the school provides a modern and practical design, which has no problem competing with site-built construction. The hallways have 9’ ceilings to give a spacious impression. The wall coverings are taped and textured gypsum wallboards and all classrooms have custom plastic laminated casework installed.
Modern also provided the low voltage systems: fire alarm, phone and data, as well as central heat ventilation and air conditioning control system. Included in the scope of work were all underground utilities and landscaping.
