We received this letter from Impact NW & wanted to encourage our followers to also check out this great cause. See how you can get involved with interview prep, internships or facility/job site tours that help students prepare for a future in manufacturing & construction careers. We love their slogan – “Inspiring Hope. Empowering Independence.”

We were excited to host Chad Summers of AKT and Chad Summers, President of Salem Economic Development Corporation (SEDCOR), on Friday at our production facility in Aumsville, OR. Construction Manager, Bill Johnson, accepted a certificate in honor of National Manufacturing Day and in recognition of Modern’s status as SEDCOR Manufacturer of the Year.
“To celebrate the recognition of these three manufacturers, AKT is making a donation in the name of each recipient to Pathways to Manufacturing, an incubator for high school aged children designed to address industry workforce needs, help lower the drop-out rate, and provide clear pathways to rewarding careers in manufacturing.“

“Modern so greatly appreciates advocates for the growth of manufacturing and industry careers in the Willamette Valley. We will hang the certificate with pride and look forward to hearing about what Impact NW is able to achieve with the donation,”
– Jim Rasmussen, CEO and President of Modern Building Systems
